Vision Elite Volleyball Club is pleased to announce that the Vision U13 Valkyries has earned the gold medal in the first tournament of the season, the Manitoba Premier Tournament held at the Sport for Life facility during the week-end of February 16-17, 2018.

The team went undefeated during the initial round of play, defeating Junior Bison Black and Big Sand Red during the evening games of Friday, February 16.

Saturday's morning matches to complete the initial round of play were challenges with strong performances from Junior Bison Gold and Dynamo. The Vision team persevered, winning the pool play and earning the bye into the semi final.

As luck would have it the girls ended up playing the Junior Bison Gold again as the team upset our Vision Vipers team in the quarter-final match. It was a hard-fought, three-set battle that allowed the Vision Valkyries a berth into the Championship match where they met the Big Sand Blue team for the tournament win. 

The team went undefeated throughout the tournament having met all the strongest teams in the age class. The Championship performance is an excellent start for the young team and, with a little luck (and plenty of hard work), the first of many during the upcoming season.
