The Primary Footwork for Passing is the "shuffle step." The key element to the shuffle step is the ability to move the opposite foot first. This discipline requires practice.
This video introduces the following movement:
1- Lateral Movement (side-to-side): Perform 3 sets of 10 reps.
2- Front V (Diagonal Movement): Perform 3 sets of 10 reps.
3- Back V (Diagonal Movement): Perform 3 sets of 10 reps.
VISION Elite uses a mix of commonly used and unique footwork patterns for blocking. The series is as follows:
1- Slide step (two-step): 3 sets of 10.
Focus on pushing off your foot to reach three feet of distance.
2- Shuffle-step (two slide steps): 3 sets of 10.
Focus on long-quick strides that should get you six feet in distance.
3- Two-step & jump: 3 sets of 10.
VISION Elite uses this footwork in transition, blocking and defence. Focus on long strides, quick reaction and getting the outside foot in front of the inside foot.
