VISION Premier League

Important Information on All Programs

November 12, 2020

Dear Volleyball Community,

COVID RESPONSE: With the cancellation of all our permits this past August, we have worked tirelessly to secure replacement venues so we might deliver quality volleyball programs to the community. Through this effort, we were able to provide a variety of camps, and with more than 520 athletes participating in our summer camps and approx. 350 athletes this fall, we were provided with the opportunity to develop and modify our COVID protocols to respond effectively to government regulatory obligations. Along with our introducing game play with cohorts, we believe there is no other sport organization in Manitoba with more experience delivering volleyball programs within these COVID rules. See our COVID Responsepage for detailed information.

EIGHT-WEEK CYCLES: In response to the continued disruption in sports programming, Volleyball Winnipeg has re-organized all programs, so they are now being offered in eight-week cycles. Simply stated, we have made a commitment to complete all camps and leagues within each cycle as planned. Therefore, any lockdown will be considered a pause in the schedule.

LIMITED SPACE: To control numbers in each facility according to government mandate, and in cooperation with each venue, all Volleyball Winnipeg camps and leagues will be limited to a maximum of 16 athletes per court.

REFUND POLICY: Any athlete requesting a refund will be withdrawing from the program and that spot will be opened up to others. Our expectation is to keep all programs full, so we are ready to restart immediately following a government announcement. Therefore, registration to all programs will remain open until they are sold out.

GOVERNMENT STATUS: As the government continues with lockdowns, the cycle will be placed on hold and will resume accordingly when any such lockdown is terminated. With government approval to re-start (Orange status) generally made on Fridays, a re-launch would be scheduled for the following Monday.

RESTART OF PROGRAMS: Once a government announcement is made, an official e-mail will be sent out to all registered athletes with details on the re-launch of the program. With that, we remind everyone that participation in these programs is limited and we encourage everyone to register early to reserve their spot.

ALL PROGRAMS: Volleyball Winnipeg will offer programs on eight-week cycles until June 2021 as follows:

Should you have any questions concerning our programs, please e-mail Ally directly at: hello@volleyballwinnipeg.ca

Sincerely,

VOLLEYBALL WINNIPEG BOARD OF DIRECTORS
